Rhea Newall raises money for her family friendly sim by sitting in a dunk tank in a wet t-shirt.
Since I posted the first blog entry, I’ve gotten anonymous emails from people claiming to be Treasure Quest captains or former Treasure Quest captains. One of them was kind enough to send me this picture of Rhea Newall herself, sitting in a dunk tank on the Treasure Quest island raising money for the sim. Public nudity and mature content appear to be a running theme with Miss Newall when it comes to getting donations. Why doesn’t she just advertise it as a Mature event or a mature hunt? Then she wouldn’t have to break the strict rules that she makes the other captains abide by on their land if they want to participate in her family friendly hunt.
I landed at their start location and this is what I saw:
After I complained about this to the captains at the Treasure Quest HQ, I was immediately ejected and banned.

[18:53] You: if I had shown up here naked, i would have been asked to put some clothes on or ejected immediately

[18:54] TQ Captain Elephant: It was approved. For the Hunt. As a fundraiser.
[18:55] You: ahh… so as long as it’s bringing in money, it’s ok to not be family friendly
[18:55] TQ Captain Elephant: Wasn’t my call actually. It was a joke at the start, but it went ahead. they raised the money and so I get to hang out wearing this

[18:55] You: this hunt is advertised as family friendly
[18:56] You: and there you are with an elephant trunk on your crotch
[18:56] You: for the sake of making money

[18:56] You: if it’s not family friendly, then you shouldn’t advertise it as such
[18:56] You: if you wanna run a strip club, then by all means, run one, but don’t pretend it’s something that it isn’t
[18:58] TQ Captain Elephant: If you have an issue. and I assure you that you have been the only person to have an issue with this so far. I will leave for your sake.

They didn’t ban from the sim tho, so I land over by the party where he is now dancing.
This video was apparently filmed by their DJ at their event that night.

I suppose in the eyes of Rhea Newall, owner of Treasure Quest, this doesn’t qualify as “Mature Content”.
